THE REVELATION OF GOD IN MAN
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away: behold, all things have become new. And all things are of God, who has reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;" 2Cor. 5:17-18. If there is one thing needed in the lives of Christians today, it is the revelation of God in them. As one visiting minister recently preached - being God inside minded. This is not anything new as far as doctrine is concerned. Kenneth Hagin, Kenneth Copeland and Fred Price and the Word of Faith have been teaching us this for years. Long before them it was taught by such anointed men of God like E.W. Kenyon, John G. Lake, and Smith Wigglesworth. These men had such a revelation of God in them that everywhere they went, the life and power of God flowed through their hands, flowed from their words and even from the articles of substance that touched their being. Why? Were they spiritually anointed and called of God to be operating at a level above all others, never to be reproduced again? I believe that they were the norm for our day, yet still, in comparison to the promise and revelation of the New Testament, they were behind the fullness of what the Spirit of God declared through the apostle Paul.
"Even the mystery which hath been hidden from the ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus." Col.1:26-28. This is the mystery of Christ, which Paul expounded in every letter of the New Testament that it would no longer be a mystery. It now needs to become a revelation for every person that claims to be a new creature in Christ. No longer are they short of God's glory. They now have God's plan and purpose for their lives revealed to them - to show forth God's glory - Jesus Christ - the Spirit of the living God to people of this earth. So why is their a lack of this revelation among born-again, spirit-filled Christians today?
"Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power." Col. 2:8-10. False doctrine, human precepts, man's traditions, and worldly wisdom have blinded and deceived Christians into believing that they are less than what the New Testament has said about them. A postponed gospel, that the fullness of God's glory is for heaven and not for here and now, has minimized the Spirit of Christ in us. Jesus Christ coming to this earth, living amongst us was the revelation of God in man. Anything less is a perversion, a forgery, a counterfeit of the reality of the new creation. The fullness of Christ can only come to them who have totally detached themselves from the Old Testament dispensation of the law and receive God's revelation of Jesus Christ, the Light of the World, now living in and through each and every one of us.
"Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord." 2Cor. 3:17-18. How are we changed? How do we get this revelation of God in man? By beholding as in a glass or mirror or the NEW TESTAMENT, Jesus Christ revealed, the glory of the Lord. By being a doer of the word. Then when we behold ourselves and go our way, we don't forget what manner of men we are - God men, men of God with the revelation of God in us.
