Higher Ground Christian Church was founded and pioneered by Pastor Joseph A. Funaro and his wife, Elsa, in August of 1996.Higher Ground is a Full-Gospel, Charismatic church where the saints are trained and equipped with the power of the Word of God and the anointing of the Holy Spirit to demonstrate the person and the works of the Lord Jesus Christ to the lost, the hurting and the dying of this world; that they may know and experience Christ, and become people of great faith that are motivated by a great love that emanates from a great God.
Higher Ground is a Dominion Life Church, an affiliate church of John G. Lake Ministries, Dallas, TX; Curry Blake, General Overseer. Pastor Joseph Funaro is the East Coast Regional Director of John G. Lake Ministries.
